Donasi Senyum untuk Tohoku yang dilakukan pada 2 April 2011 lalu sudah disampaikan kepada warga Tohoku. Dan kemarin malam TRASHI mendapat kiriman dari sahabat kita di Jepang, Hoko Horii. Sila simak tulisannya berikut ini.

被災地東北から遠く離れた大阪の地で、考えた。
I reflected, in Osaka, far away from devastated area, Tohoku.
被災した人たち。
The victims.
普通の生活を送る私たちには、彼らの苦しみを理解することは所詮できない。
We, who are able to live our lives as usual, cannot understand their suffering.
何億円をも寄付する大企業の社長さん。
Presidents of influential company donate a million.
自給７００円のバイトで汗を流す私たちとは、比べ物にならない。
We, who earn 700 yen per hour, cannot donate such a huge amount of money.
被災地で救助に携わる人たち。
The rescues who are involved in saving their lives.
プロフェッショナルでないわたしたちが行っても足手まといになるだけだ。
We, who are not professional, cannot work efficiently and would make the matter worse.
でも、人間には役割がある。
However, each person plays a role.
私たちにだってできることはある。
There is something only we can do.
In Osaka, a town of comedy,
わたちたち学生ができること。
What we students can do...
”大阪から、笑いとパワ―を”
"Smile and Energy from Osaka"
メッセージと写真で、被災地の人を笑かそう。元気づけよう。
To make the victims laugh and infuse them with energy with the pictures and messages.
そうやって始めたこのプロジェクト。
That's how this project began.
そんなある日にインドネシアでインターンしていた頃の同僚からチャットが。
One day, one of the colleagues I worked with while I was doing internship in Jakarta, Indonesia talked to me on chat.
”大丈夫？” まだ被害が回復していないと聞いて心配してくれているようだ。
"Are you okey?"
She were worried that the situation was still not good.
何気なく例のプロジェクトの話をすると、
Then we happened to talk about this project.
”私たちにできることなら協力したい！”
"Is there anything I can do to help? "
と言ってくれる。本当に良い同僚をもったと思う。
she said. I'm always grateful for having such good colleagues.
いつの間にかこんな風に大きなイベントになっていたこのプロジェクト。
They made it such a big event in the old town in Jakarta.
なんとジャカルタから１２３枚もの写真が集まり、ヴィデオと共に送ってくれた。
Surprisingly, they sent us 123 picrtures and 3 videos.
おもい。
Heavy.
容量の問題ではない。
meaning,
応援の気持ちがつまった１２３枚の写真には、重みがあった。
important, precious since they are from lots of people who tried to encourage the victims by sending messages.

Dear Tohoku people,
あなたたちを応援している人が
There are such many people
こんなにいます。
who cheer you up.
どうか被災地に、”楽しみにできる明日”が訪れますように。
We wish you to be able to look forward to "tomorrow coming".
ひとりでも多くの人が、笑顔を取り戻しますように。
And, as many people retrieve their smile as possible.
